We are currently recruiting for a motivated Tempering Manager with strong employee relations skills, proven track record of success and increased responsibility, who is committed to excellence and looking for an exceptional career opportunity.
Job Summary: Manages glass tempering department through a team of functional and front line supervisors on three shifts. Ensures increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials and machines.
Job Requirements: The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Required:
Minimum of 3 years Glass Tempering experience. (Please note, you will not be considered for this position if you do not possess glass tempering experience.)
3+ years supervisory experience, in a continuous process glass (or similar industry using glass tempering) manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated leadership skills and experience.
Ability to coordinate with other departments and managers and work as a team.
Possess skills and abilities to help our client achieve manufacturing excellence by establishing and communicating goals, coach, mentor and evaluate performance and develop people to improve their performance.
A desire to set high standards of work performance for yourself and others.
Preferred but not required:
Knowledge/experience with Lean or six sigma principles.
BA/BS Degree preferred but not required
